What is the 7-7-7 rule for dogs?

The 7-7-7 rule for dogs introduces a new puppy to 7 different surfaces, 7 locations, 7 sounds, 7 textures, 7 challenges, 7 people, and 7 foods before 7 weeks of age. It builds confidence and prevents fear-based behavior. We use it as the foundation of every Boca Raton puppy training program.

What is the 3-3-3 rule for dog training?

The 3-3-3 rule describes a rescue dog's adjustment period: 3 days to decompress in a new home, 3 weeks to learn routines and start trusting, and 3 months to feel fully settled. Training should respect this timeline — push too fast and you set the dog back.

Can aggressiveness be trained out of a dog?

Yes, in most cases. Aggression usually comes from fear, frustration, or unclear leadership — all of which respond to balanced training. Severe genetic aggression is rare. At Off Leash K9 Boca Raton we evaluate every aggressive dog in person before recommending a program. Free phone consultations: (561) 513-5333.

What is the best age to start obedience training a puppy?

Start at 8 weeks. Puppies can learn basic commands (sit, down, come) the moment they come home. The critical socialization window closes at 16 weeks — every week before then matters. Our Boca Raton puppy program starts at 8 weeks with foundational obedience and bite inhibition.

Do you offer board and train programs in Boca Raton?

Yes! Our Boca Raton Board and Train is our most popular program. Your dog stays with a professional trainer in a home environment for 2 weeks, receiving daily training sessions with real-world distraction proofing. They come home with complete off-leash obedience including sit, down, place, heel, and recall.

Do you have a training facility in Boca Raton?

We are a mobile dog training service — we come directly to your home, neighborhood, local park, or preferred location throughout Boca Raton and Palm Beach County. This approach is more effective because we train your dog in their actual environment where behavioral issues occur.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I wanted to wait until I was done with both Puppy Boarding Training (Alaina) and the two week Boarding Training with (Jake) It was been amazing experience. Stitch has learned so much from both training opportunities. Off Leash really has been great in overall.
Great Customer Service, Great Trainers who know what they are doing and also are very loving with by Pup.

Thank you to everyone for providing a great experience.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We couldn’t be happier with Chris and Off Leash K9 Training! We trusted Chris with our family dog, Levi for three weeks, and the progress was impressive. Levi came back calmer, more confident and had learned several new commands. Chris was very communicative, kept us updated regularly with photos and videos and answered all of our questions. He is very patient. You can tell he truly cares about the dogs that he trains and wants to see them succeed. Would definitely recommend!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We found off leash K9 training when we needed them most. One of our corgis was being very stubborn and getting more aggressive, and being reactive towards more things around us. We were paired with Chris. He took care of both of our corgis. Gave them love and attention on the first day and then he was strictly business after that. He worked so well with them. We got lots of updated pictures, videos and phone calls of the progress they were making. I know it is still up to us to follow thru with the training but with Chris’ help our dogs came home unbelievably different. No pulling on the leash for walks, recall 100% (as they are corgis and stubborn they would only come when they wanted to.) and staying in place for longer periods of time!
They did so well on field trips he took them to dog friendly areas. I am excited to bring them out more when south florida gets cooler again.
I have already recommended off leash to other family and friends!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Amandalynn was the best trainer. She was able to train my two very active goldendoodles who had no boundaries. They are like new behaved puppies now. Such a good decision. Amandalynn treated my babies like her own! She kept us updated with videos and pictures every day. Thank you so much Amandalynn!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We have a big dog who was not well trained in spite of many prior lessons with another trainer. Then we found Alaina at Off Leash K9 Training. She is an amazing trainer who has special skills and knows how to connect with our dog. All her training is positive based, not with punishment. Our dog is happy and progressing beautifully with his training. We are very grateful and appreciative that we found Alaina.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I recently rescued a Pitbull named Rollo, who spent his first year living in a backyard. He was very reactive, constantly pulled on the leash, and didn’t seem to listen to me at all. Feeling overwhelmed and overstimulated- I considered finding him a new home. I decided to give him one last chance with professional training.

Our trainer, Vanessa, worked wonders. Within just a few minutes of our session, Rollo transformed into a whole new dog! Vanessa’s knowledge and expertise were invaluable, and she provided me with additional tips to address other issues we were facing.

Thanks to Vanessa's incredible work, I am forever grateful. Now, Rollo and I are happy and thriving together. A huge thank you to Vanessa and the Offleash team for helping me with my baby!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Off Leash K9 training is the BEST! Rion was easily the most experienced, knowledgeable, gracious, helpful and supportive trainer we have ever met! We did our research before choosing a company to train our German Shepherd and daily we talk about how thankful we are for Off Leash K9! Throughout the training Rion helped guide us through how to train our dog. From start to finish the set up, met and greet to the end of our dogs 2 week training, the whole process was amazing. We are so grateful for this company and we have already recommended them to family, friends and neighbors!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Jake trained my old redcue rottweiler. He was reactive to GSDs and some other large dogs and by the end of training, my dog was completely transformed! You get out of dog training what you put in, and Jake puts in a LOT! Luckily maintaining the training isn't nearly as hard. I didn't think an old dog could learn so many new tricks, but having the ability to have him sit or go over somewhere else, respect my nursery's boundaries, etc... Has been very helpful. We have run into several GSDs since and my dog has been totally fine, no longer lunge barking a block away.
The communication during and after is great, I can ask questions months later and get answers or tips. He even checks up on my dog from time to time. Super convenient too, as we timed a vacation with the training.
